As Sous Chef, you will work under the Chef Manager overseeing catering events and related administration. The position combines recipe development, supplier coordination, budget adherence, staff supervision, and training. You will also support safe, efficient food service while incorporating healthy options, promotional themes, and employee ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee catering event preparation, organization, planning, and direction
- Cook from scratch using local ingredients and new ideas
- Develop menus and recipes for cafeteria service
- Schedule food preparation for efficient, safe team processes
- Train staff in procedures, best practices, and career development
Requirements:
- Three years of recent related catering food service experience
- Experience leading high-volume catering teams or equivalent preparation
- Knowledge of worldwide food cultures, menus, and special diets
- Previous cost control and employee management experience
- Serve Safe or Food Safe certification and health safety knowledge
