In this role, you will own and drive the financial risk agenda across the entire Trust & Securities Services (TSS) franchise, with a particular focus on shaping the future of risk management in our Custody and Clearing businesses. You will be at the centre of some of the most complex, high‑value transaction flows, acting as the senior authority on credit, settlement and liquidity risks and influencing decisions that directly impact Deutsche Bank’s global clients and balance sheet.
You’ll bring insight, judgement and innovation to how we monitor and mitigate risk in real time—translating client structures, settlement mechanics and legal frameworks into smarter limits, stronger controls and more dynamic risk analytics. You’ll also play a key leadership role in elevating our risk capability, mentoring talent and partnering with senior stakeholders across Sales, RTM, Operations, Legal, Treasury and Credit to deliver commercially sharp, well‑governed outcomes. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role with the scope to shape how financial risk is managed across a global, growing franchise.
- Lead financial risk management across TSS Custody & Clearing, identifying material credit, settlement and liquidity risks and driving timely mitigation.

- Oversee client credit risk, including limit setting, exposure analysis, legal structures and settlement behaviour.
- Provide senior risk input into new business, complex transactions and client onboarding.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, strengthening risk capability and consistency.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and delivering timely, pragmatic solutions.
Degree‑level education or equivalent experience; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CA, MBA) welcome but not essential. Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and present clear, data‑driven risk assessments. Strong understanding of post‑trade processes, custody and clearing risk drivers, and client/account structures. Extensive experience in financial risk management within a banking environment, with senior accountability for credit, settlement or liquidity risk.
