Lead mechanical building design with Design Works Engineering in Grande Prairie, using Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP on-site. Shape technical standards across projects. This senior technical leadership role makes you the mechanical authority on commercial, institutional, low-rise, high-rise, and multi-family buildings. You will lead heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and controls design across every project phase. The role includes mentoring engineers and designers, reviewing calculations and documents, and coordinating with in-house disciplines. Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical scope through every project phase Review HAP load calculations and design documents Mentor intermediate and junior engineers and designers Build mechanical standards and QA/QC practices Support construction and resolve field issues Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering P.Eng. with APEGA in good standing Eight or more years designing building mechanical systems Senior or lead experience mentoring and reviewing work Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HAP or similar software Bring mechanical leadership, Alberta code knowledge, and client confidence to Design Works Engineering’s growing Grande Prairie team.
