Support U.S. customs brokerage operations through technical troubleshooting, ACE/ABI expertise, and accurate resolution of complex customer issues for Descartes.
The Customer Support Engineer resolves application, integration, infrastructure, configuration, connectivity, and regulatory issues. You will support Descartes OneView Customs House Broker users across the complete U.S. customs entry lifecycle. The work serves licensed customs brokers, entry writers, compliance teams, importers, and operational users facing time-sensitive production problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex OneView, configuration, integration, and infrastructure support issues
- Prioritize incidents by filing deadlines and cargo-clearance impact
- Reproduce issues and document root causes and workarounds
- Support ACE/ABI transmission, releases, summaries, payments, and corrections
- Explain technical findings clearly to brokerage professionals
Requirements:
- Three or more years of U.S. customs brokerage experience
- Strong knowledge of the complete U.S. customs entry lifecycle
- Ability to troubleshoot CBP and ACE/ABI validation errors
- Experience with PGA requirements and message-set data
- U.S. Customs Broker License or progress toward obtaining one
