As a permanent Collections Specialist, you will report to the Manager, Collections in Toronto. The position covers daily collection activities, client services, account monitoring, payment application, and billing issue resolution. Discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily collection activities across an assigned portfolio
- Make professional client calls while maintaining customer relations
- Monitor accounts and applicable collection reports daily
- Resolve billing and payment application issues promptly
- Reconcile complex accounts and manage high risk balances
Requirements:
- Three or more years in collections or accounting
- Finance diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of collections processes and procedures
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills with strong Excel capabilities
- Discretion, sound judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality
