The Sterilization Assistant supports safe, organized instrument reprocessing for general, cosmetic, and orthodontic dental services. Responsibilities include cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing instruments while following provincial regulations. The position also involves maintaining records, identifying issues, and collaborating with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment
- Complete required testing and documentation
- Maintain accurate records for compliance and audits
- Report sterilization or equipment issues promptly
Requirements:
- Previous clinical sterilization experience considered an asset
- Accredited Dental Assisting program completion preferred
- Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program completion preferred
- Infection Prevention and Control experience considered an asset
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
