Registered Dental Assistant needed in Edmonton for full-time fixed-term work, supporting patient care, dental procedures, digital imaging, and infection control.
Westmount Dental Centre seeks a Registered Dental Assistant for a contract ending in May 2027. The practice provides comprehensive dental services seven days weekly, with shifts from 7 am to 2 pm or 2 pm to 9 pm, Monday through Friday and bi-weekly Saturdays. This position supports dentists, hygienists, and patients within a collaborative dental team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Assist dentists and hygienists during patient treatments
- Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
- Sterilize instruments and follow IPAC infection control standards
- Update charts and support scheduling, patient flow, and administration
Requirements:
- Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant provincially
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Ethical professional behaviour with strong patient relationships
