This Winter 2027 internship supports DECIEM's Compliance and Control Activities team. You will document financial reporting processes, test controls, organize audit evidence, and track remediation items. The work term runs January 5 to April 23, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document financial reporting processes and key controls
- Support SOX 404 walkthroughs, testing, and control matrices
- Track deficiencies, remediation actions, and audit requests
- Organize evidence for quarterly disclosure-related control activities
- Maintain audit logs, templates, maps, and version control
Requirements:
- Undergraduate enrollment in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or related studies
- Return to school after the work term
- Interest in SOX 404, SOX 302, internal controls, and compliance
- Basic familiarity with documentation, risk assessment, or audit support
- Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong attention to detail
