Operate heavy mobile equipment at De Beers Group’s Gahcho Kué Mine, using safe practices across a 14-days-in, 14-days-out rotation. This Heavy Equipment Operator works in Mine Operations and reports to the Mining Supervisor. The position operates haul trucks, dozers, loaders, excavators, and shovels to move ore and waste. It requires equipment inspections, monitoring, radio communication, and adherence to safety, environmental, and conduct standards. Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy mobile equipment and attachments safely Excavate, grade, and move hard rock Complete daily equipment safety checks and inspections Monitor equipment and report problems through procedures Communicate effectively using two-way radio Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent life skills Qualification on at least three listed equipment types Three years of mining industry experience Remote-site or open-pit mining experience Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts Bring qualified heavy equipment operation, inspection, and mine safety experience to De Beers Group’s Gahcho Kué Mine.
