Lead Google Cloud platform strategy across the Americas with hands-on expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and enterprise architecture.
This position is fully remote within Canada.
As Datatonic's Head of Platforms, you will own enterprise-scale landing zones, data platforms, MLOps, and integrated Data & AI platforms.
You will guide platform architecture, reusable templates, enablement, and production delivery.
The role combines builder leadership with senior client stakeholder advising.
Key Responsibilities
- Own secure, governed Google Cloud reference architectures
- Build reusable infrastructure, CI/CD, data, and agent templates
- Define platform standards, guardrails, playbooks, and training
- Scale deployment, testing, observability, security, and governance
- Lead client conversations, delivery, and platform-related revenue
Requirements
- Deep hands-on Google Cloud platform delivery expertise
- Experience scaling data products or AI agents
- Knowledge of APIs, semantic layers, BI, and MCP
- Experience with Fin Ops, telemetry, and business value measurement
- Strong security, networking, Terraform, CI/CD, and operations grounding
