Commission complex machines as an Automation Engineer with Cytiva in Burnaby, BC, using electrical, mechanical, and software troubleshooting skills on-site.
Reporting to the Integration Manager, you will work within Cytiva's Integration Team. The position supports multiple product lines through system integration, FRT/CX, FAT, pre-shipping, customer-site SAT, training, qualification, and service support. You will also assist engineers, technicians, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission machines through the full production cycle
- Travel to customer sites for SAT and qualification
- Provide office and remote field support
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues
- Participate in the after-hours customer support roster
Requirements:
- Post-secondary engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent
- Electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics specialization
- One to two years' programming experience
- Mechanical or electrical problem-solving skills
- Valid Canadian passport and driver's license
