Commission complex machines as an Automation Engineer with Cytiva in Burnaby, British Columbia, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software systems on-site.
Reporting to the Integration Manager, you will support Cytiva's Integration Team across multiple product lines. The work includes production-cycle commissioning, customer-site service, training, qualification, and technical support. Your expertise will contribute to solving issues and building team knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission machines through system integration, FRT/CX, FAT, and pre-shipping
- Perform SAT, training, qualification, and service support at customer sites
- Support Cytiva engineers, technicians, and customers onsite or remotely
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software product issues
- Participate in the after-hours customer support roster
Requirements:
- Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics
- One to two years' programming or mechanical and electrical problem-solving experience
- Valid Canadian passport for cross-border travel
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
