Reporting to the CEO, we are hiring a Controller to lead CYBERWELL's finance function and advance the financial processes, insights, and discipline that support the business. You will oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while leading a Senior Accountant and partnering with business leaders to strengthen financial understanding and accountability. Working closely with the WELL Health Finance team, you will ensure reporting requirements are met while owning how financial processes operate within CYBERWELL. This is an existing full-time, remote role based anywhere in Canada.

What's in it for you

  • Influence where it matters. You will work closely with the CEO and senior leaders, bringing the financial perspective, commercial judgement, and constructive challenge that turn business priorities into informed decisions and measurable outcomes.
  • The mandate to take finance further. You will join a business where meaningful work has already strengthened the financial foundation. You will have the autonomy to build on that progress and define what the next level of financial maturity looks like, from deeper business insight and stronger planning disciplines to greater financial accountability across the organization.
  • Breadth, ownership, and room to grow. You will have meaningful ownership within CYBERWELL while benefiting from the reach, expertise, and established finance network of WELL Health.

As our new Controller, you will:

  • Lead accounting operations and controls. You will lead core accounting functions, including general ledger and revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS and WELL accounting policies. Oversee accruals, prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinate the reconciliation and resolution of intercompany balances. Own the month-end close and ensure accurate, complete and timely financial results, coordinating with Shared Services on key inputs and reporting requirements. Maintain effective internal controls, supporting documentation and audit-ready processes. Prepare and review working papers for quarterly and annual financial reporting, manage external audit queries, and improve accounting processes to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting. You will lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and longer-term financial planning in partnership with business leaders. You will develop models linking revenue, staffing, utilization and delivery costs to financial outcomes. You will establish clear assumptions, timelines and ownership, challenge inputs constructively, and use scenario analysis to inform resource allocation and business decisions.
  • Develop financial reporting and analysis. You will prepare and review financial statements and management reporting, providing clear commentary on results, variances, risks and opportunities. You will develop reporting that gives leadership actionable visibility into revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow and business unit performance.
  • Foster business partnerships and accountability. You will establish a regular financial review cadence with business unit leads, with clear expectations for timely inputs, forecast quality, budget ownership and performance improvement.
  • Increase visibility into client, contract and service profitability. You will define financial requirements for cost allocation, time tracking and utilization reporting, partnering with business leaders to improve data completeness and reliability.
  • Optimize finance processes. You will strengthen finance processes, systems, data quality and reporting across the business.
  • Partner with Business Finance and Shared Services. You will work together with groups to ensure effective delivery of finance activities across the business.
  • Support strategic decisions through technical accounting. You will assess accounting treatment for material contracts and transactions, coordinating complex IFRS matters with corporate finance or external advisers as needed.
  • Guide a team. You will supervise and develop the Senior Accountant, setting clear priorities, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, and supporting professional development.

You bring

  • Education: CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • The experience. You have progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally including as a Controller or senior finance role with meaningful ownership of FP&A and business partnership.
  • The FP&A expertise. You have in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS, internal controls, month-end close and audit requirements.
  • The leadership skills. You have exceptional communication skills and can work across levels and teams, influencing decision-makers and guiding team members.
  • The technical skills. You have advanced Excel skills, and you are highly proficient with financial systems.
