As a Frontend Software Engineer on the Financial Services & Loyalty team, you will own end-to-end frontend development across web and mobile for financial services products using React and React Native, including card onboarding, rewards, transactions, and payment flows.
Responsibilities include:
- Building new features that expand the value proposition of Coinbase's loyalty and card products, shipping high-quality code that directly impacts customer engagement and revenue.
- Driving experimentation and funnel optimization efforts that measurably improve conversion, activation, and retention across key user journeys.
- Partnering cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering to translate requirements into polished, performant frontend experiences.
- Identifying and resolving frontend performance bottlenecks, contributing to measurable improvements in CUJ latency and availability SLOs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on frontend development using React and React Native.
- Demonstrated track record of owning features end to end, from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release.
- Experience with experimentation frameworks and funnel optimization, with the ability to instrument, measure, and iterate on user-facing flows.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver features on time and at high quality.
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision). Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $247,737—$247,737 CAD.
