The Mechanical Designer II performs their job functions under the supervision of a project's Engineer-of-Record. This role is expected to work closely with other architects, engineers, and designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible, and complete design.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with client and external partners preferred
- Travel as required for client development and project execution preferred
- Work on a variety of mechanical assignments supporting all phases of design including initial planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Assist with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverables
Qualifications:
- Applicable Associate degree or technical trade school certification
- 3 to 7 years of experience required including field experience in either a design or construction capacity
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD MEP is preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
- Experience with implementing fundamental design aspects of HVAC, mechanical utility, and piping system design preferred
- Understanding of the applicable building codes, technical and design aspects of CRB's market areas
