The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario seeks a service-oriented assistant for a six-month contract. Reporting to the Building Superintendent, you will support general repairs, custodial duties, office moves, and building inspections. You will coordinate with employees, contractors, security personnel, and internal service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of interior spaces and exterior grounds
- Respond to spills, hazards, and urgent maintenance concerns
- Assist with plumbing, drywall, painting, and lamp replacement
- Support office moves and workstation reconfigurations
- Complete meeting room and event setups and takedowns
Requirements:
- Previous building maintenance, facilities, custodial, or hands-on experience
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry
- Safe operation of common hand and power tools
- Ability to interpret floor plans and follow safety procedures
- Strong customer-service, judgment, and problem-solving skills
