JRF Chartered Professional Accountant Inc. is seeking a manager-level CPA committed to a long-term career in public practice.
This role suits an experienced professional who enjoys serving owner-managed businesses, taking responsibility for client files and helping others develop.
The role
Working directly with the firm’s president, you will: Manage compilation and review engagements, from planning through completion.
Prepare and review financial statements, working papers and corporate and personal income tax returns.
Develop client relationships and identify accounting, tax and business issues requiring attention.
Guide team members, review their work and provide practical feedback.
Take ownership of deadlines, file quality and resolving outstanding matters.
Help improve the firm’s processes and use of technology.
What we are looking for
A CPA designation and substantial recent Canadian public-practice experience.
Experience managing client engagements and reviewing staff work.
Strong accounting and tax knowledge, including compilation and review engagement requirements.
Sound professional judgment and clear communication with clients and colleagues.
Initiative, accountability and the ability to carry work through to completion.
A clear intention to continue developing a career in public practice.
