The Sustainable Transportation Assistant supports the Operations Department and reports to the Manager – Sustainable Transportation. This regular full time position combines administrative, technical, communications, and logistical support. The work helps deliver regional transit service and implement the active transportation program and network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect data supporting transit and active transportation portfolios
- Deliver public communications for sustainable transportation programs
- Inspect transportation infrastructure across the CVRD
- Provide administrative and logistical delivery support
- Support day-to-day regional transit service operations
Requirements:
- Diploma in transportation, planning, public administration, marketing, or related field
- One year of related transportation or urban planning experience
- Experience developing surveys, analyzing data, and preparing reports
- Experience with web-based marketing, advertising, and business social media
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required for inspections
