Valued at $1.9B following a recent $100M capital raise led by Vista Credit Partners, Cover Genius is the premier global infrastructure platform for embedded protection. Operating across 60+ countries and all 50 US states, our B2B2C technology seamlessly connects over 200 partner platforms with 50+ global insurance carriers to protect 70+ million customers at the point of sale.

Cover Genius runs Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) as an embedded insurance product, already live with multiple partners and expanding to more partners and markets. As Senior Product Manager - Travel, you'll take what we've learned from running these first programs and build the platform, processes, and partner experience needed to run CFAR across many partners, geographies, and underwriters β€” with strong data discipline and a high bar for operational rigor.

This is also a rare chance to build a truly customer-friendly insurance product β€” one that pays out with zero claims forms, receipts, or proof of loss required, which is how customers actually expect insurance to work. You'll get hands-on with the algorithms, agents, and machine learning that drive performance, while also shaping the partner-facing reporting and customer-facing benefits that make the product tangible and trustworthy.

This is a scale-up role for an existing product. CFAR is live and has strong partner interest, and you'll design the automation, monitoring, and partner-facing systems that let it scale with the same discipline it launched with. You'll work across data science, engineering, pricing/actuarial, and partner commercial teams to decide what should be automated within agreed guardrails, what benefits from a human in the loop, and how partners see and stay confident in the numbers behind their program. The scope of this role will expand as we add partners and programs. We're looking for someone who can bring rigorous structure to a fast-growing platform, and who treats every new partner as a chance to make the shared system smarter β€” not just to ship one more integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the CFAR program management platform.
  • Design and prioritize the roadmap for a shared data layer, alerting engine, and partner configuration model.
  • Build tiered automation across data health, monitoring, and pricing.
  • Drive the platform through its layers of maturity.
  • Define the partner configuration model.
  • Make partner performance transparent and easy to trust.
  • Turn program learnings into reusable platform logic.
  • Partner with actuarial, data science, and engineering on the model lifecycle.

Skills And Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a data-intensive or algorithmically-driven product in production.
  • Strong SQL and data fluency.
  • Experience designing monitoring, alerting, or automated decisioning systems.
  • Comfort operating across commercial, technical, and actuarial stakeholders.
  • A track record of turning a single working example into a scalable, configurable platform.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with embedded insurance, B2B2C platforms, or marketplace dynamics.
  • Direct experience with insurance, risk, or loss-ratio-driven products.

Proficiencies And Attributes

  • Driven, energetic, and a 'good enough is not enough' mentality.
  • Strong sense of ownership over all aspects of the product.
  • Sense of urgency in addressing issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Result-driven with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive approach to change and adaptability.

  • Make today matter: We deliver with urgency and excellence.
