This Health Care Aide supports residents, families, and visitors in a home-like environment. The position promotes independence, choice, dignity, privacy, culture, spirituality, and individuality. Care follows Covenant Care protocols, policies, applicable legislation, and its mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and social support to residents
- Assist residents with recreation and leisure activities
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support end-of-life care respecting resident choices
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education required
- Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate completed
- Enrollment in Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking ability
- Six months to one year preferred in continuing care
