Your role will involve non-sterile and hazardous sterile compounding, checking medications, and mentoring Pharmacy Assistants. Strong communication skills and attention to detail will be essential as you collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams, adhering to NAPRA and ACP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform non-sterile compounding
- Conduct final checks of medications
- Manage medication inventory and procurement
- Mentor and train Pharmacy Assistants and new staff
- Follow operational and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
- Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
- Ability to handle hazardous medications with PPE
