Produce multi-market news broadcasts for Global News in Toronto, using strong writing and television production skills onsite part-time. Varied shifts include weekends, afternoons, and evenings.
Reporting to the Executive Producer of OTT and Multi-Market Content, you will support Global News MMC/OTT from its Toronto office. The position requires at least five years of television broadcasting experience and post-secondary journalism or broadcasting education. You will write, edit, line up, and produce packaged and live segments for various Canadian markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and line up news broadcasts for various Canadian markets
- Take broadcast events live through a control room
- Write, edit, and produce packaged and live segments
- Participate in editorial meetings and discussions
- Coordinate graphics supporting storytelling and newscast presentation
Requirements:
- Post-secondary journalism, broadcasting, or related education
- Minimum five years of television broadcasting experience
- Excellent news judgment during breaking news
- Strong television production, writing, and video editing skills
- Communication, leadership, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities
