Optimize daily plant processes with HYSYS simulation and operational troubleshooting as a Senior Process Engineer supporting SAGD or upgrader facilities. This senior process engineering position requires site experience across operations and EPC environments. You will collaborate with operations, reliability, maintenance, outage, turnaround, and project teams. The work includes process simulations, heat and material balances, PSM activities, and engineering deliverables. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and optimize daily processes and plant equipment operations Troubleshoot operational issues, bottlenecks, and facility ramp-up challenges Develop proactive unit monitoring tools for long-term planning Support projects, inspections, design reviews, and implementation Conduct incident investigations and document findings clearly Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and eligibility for APEGA registration At least 10 years of site process engineering experience SAGD or refinery/upgrader experience, including operations or EPC Knowledge of codes, standards, HYSYS, and process deliverables Valid Class 5 driver’s license and Canadian work authorization Apply process engineering expertise, operational judgment, and technical analysis to support reliable SAGD and upgrader facility performance.
