About the Company
Two of Ontario’s leading voices for the municipal infrastructure construction sector.
About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership for two prominent member-based organizations in the municipal infrastructure construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, financial, operational, and administrative leadership of both associations, working closely with the Boards of Directors, members, staff, and various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include leading government relations, public policy development, communications, and advocacy on a range of issues affecting the sector. The role also involves overseeing collective bargaining responsibilities and union agreements, and ensuring the continued evolution of the organizations while respecting their separate mandates and financial accountabilities.
The ideal Executive Director will be an accomplished and politically astute executive with experience in leading a member-based organization through change. Strong capabilities in government relations, public policy, advocacy, and communications are essential, as is the ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The candidate should be a persuasive and practical communicator, comfortable in a senior spokesperson role, and adept at bringing different perspectives together. Experience in construction, municipal infrastructure, heavy civil contracting, or a related sector is a significant asset, and knowledge of labor relations and collective bargaining is valued. The role requires a leader who can strengthen governance, build an accountable and collaborative workplace culture, and support the organizations in providing strong value to their members.
