Manage IBM i infrastructure in Toronto through administration, performance monitoring, and security support. This hybrid contract includes three onsite days and two work-from-home days weekly.
This experienced AS400 / IBM i Infrastructure Analyst supports production, development, and testing environments. The work maintains infrastructure stability, availability, and security for critical business applications. Collaboration with application, database, and operations teams supports incident resolution and service availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, and support IBM i systems across environments
- Manage configurations, upgrades, PTFs, and OS release updates
- Monitor performance, job queues, subsystems, disks, and logs
- Administer PowerHA, MIMIX, and iCluster solutions
- Execute backup, recovery, and restoration testing procedures
Requirements:
- Experienced AS400 / IBM i infrastructure administration background
- Knowledge of system objects, libraries, profiles, and authorization lists
- Experience troubleshooting incidents and performance bottlenecks
- Familiarity with ServiceNow incident, change, and request tracking
- Ability to develop CL, RPG, and scripting solutions
