*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is empathetic, highly skilled, and passionate about delivering quality psychiatric care in a private practice setting. Subspecialties in child/adolescent psychiatry or addiction medicine would be an asset.
*Responsibilities:*
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including medication management and supportive therapy
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Option to participate in supervision, case consultations, or peer support
*Qualifications:*
- MD from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Nova Scotia or ability to obtain one
- Experience in private practice, outpatient care, or telepsychiatry preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
