Recruiting great employees, supporting leaders, fostering positive workplace relationships, and keeping people connected to a shared purpose all contribute to the impact we have in our community. We're looking for a Manager, People & Communications to join our highly collaborative People & Communications team, where ideas are welcomed, strengths are recognized, and people genuinely support one another. We work hard, laugh often, and care deeply about the work we do and the people we work with.

As a member of the CVS Management Team, you’ll work closely with leaders across the organization. You'll help attract and retain talented employees, support labour and employee relations, and lead communications that strengthen engagement, build connections, and highlight the impact of our work.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, navigating complex workplace situations, and balancing strategic projects with day-to-day operational work. You’ll lead recruitment efforts across the organization, support collective agreement administration and labour relations processes, provide guidance to managers, and oversee communications that strengthen our reputation, support organizational initiatives, and showcase the impact of our work.

This position offers a unique opportunity to build on your HR experience while expanding your expertise in recruitment, labour relations, communications, and organizational development. You’ll enjoy a variety of work, meaningful relationships, and the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organization. No two days are quite the same, and you’ll have the autonomy to bring forward ideas, take ownership of projects, and help shape the future of the People & Communications department.

You Likely Have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive experience in human resources, recruitment, labour relations, communications or a related field.
  • Experience supporting collective agreement administration, employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and people-focused initiatives.
  • Experience developing communication strategies, campaigns, engagement initiatives, and organizational messaging.
  • Strong organizational, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and person-centred practices.
  • Experience in the community living, social services, or non-profit sector is an asset.

At CVS, you’ll join a collaborative and supportive team that believes people do their best work when they’re trusted, respected, and connected to a meaningful purpose. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is ready to broaden their experience and take the next step in their career.

We offer:

  • Excellent extended health and dental benefits
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Competitive salary of $70,000 to $75,000 annually
  • A business casual work environment
  • A primarily in-office role with flexibility in scheduling
  • The opportunity to establish a regular work-from-home day following successful completion of probation
  • A supportive leadership team that values collaboration and new ideas
  • Meaningful work that strengthens inclusion and community

This is an opportunity to help build the workforce, relationships, and communications that make inclusion possible every day. If you’re ready for a role that will challenge you, expand your experience, and give you the opportunity to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
