This casual, part-time-to-full-time position serves people with intellectual or mental health disabilities. You will assess strengths, support development needs, and assist clients in homes, residences, group homes, or various locations. Experience is an asset, with a one- to two-year college or CEGEP certificate or diploma required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess client strengths and developmental needs
- Supervise activities in group homes and halfway houses
- Prepare food and complete housekeeping activities
- Resolve conflicts and assist clients with special needs
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Requirements:
- Developmental services worker training
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid, and CPR certificates
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
- Required criminal and abuse registry checks
- Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and client focus
