Commissionaires South Saskatchewan is seeking reliable, professional individuals for RCMP Cell Guard duties. Working under RCMP direction, you will safeguard persons in custody, maintain secure detention areas, and respond appropriately to incidents. The work includes records, security systems, prisoner checks, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular wellness checks and continuous observation of persons in custody
- Monitor CCTV systems and control detention-area access
- Complete prisoner logs, reports, and incident documentation
- Inspect cells, identify hazards, and report safety concerns
- Escort prisoners and provide hospital watch duties when required
Requirements:
- Availability for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Eligibility for RCMP security clearance after five years living in Canada
- Successful Criminal Record Check and reference check
- Valid WHMIS and Emergency First Aid/CPR certification
- English communication, confidentiality, judgment, and basic computer proficiency
