Commandeur Mechanical is a Heavy-Duty and Automotive Repair Facility conveniently located in the Crossroads North Industrial Park, 5 minutes north of the city of Grande Prairie in the Hamlet of Clairmont, AB. Our company requires an Automotive Service Technician with your abilities as a confident mechanic and a strong work ethic. You must be a Journeyman Red Seal or well on your way to becoming a Journeyman. You will be expected to work with minimal supervision and perform very well.
Essential Skills/Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faulty operations and repair automotive vehicles, including cars, SUVs, light and medium-duty trucks.
- Adjust, test and repair engines, steering systems, braking systems, drive trains, vehicle suspensions, electrical systems and air-conditioning systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups, and maintain and operate repair shop equipment and other repair tools.
- Participate in training to keep product knowledge current.
- Interact with customers and fellow employees professionally and courteously.
- Perform all required tasks efficiently while maintaining quality and a safe working environment.
Education:
- Red Seal in Automotive Service Technician is preferred – 2nd, 3rd and 4th year apprentices will be considered.
- Candidates must be registered with the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Program.
- Have or be able to obtain a valid CVIP ticket.
Experience:
- 3-5 years relevant experience of diagnostics and repairs on automotive vehicles up to and including 3-5 ton trucks.
