Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Process Technician – Painter/Masker/Sealer who will be reporting to the Afternoon Shift Assembly Supervisor.
As the Process Technician – Painter/Masker/Sealer, you will be involved in:
- Part loading, fixturing and unloading.
- Painting, cleaning, attaching fixtures and demasking.
- Masking, sanding, cleaning, demasking, final paint touch-ups and ink stamping.
- Mixing and applying sealant to bushings, parts and detail components, flight controls, etc.
- Booth and equipment maintenance.
- Performing work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.
- Documenting actions in support of quality logs, communicating all discrepancies to supervision and creating Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required.
- Supporting and promoting continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
- Participation in cross-functional training in related processes as required.
- Multi-tasking in the cell and performing other duties as assigned including TPM and machine checklist.
Qualifications We Require:
- Typically; High school diploma, and a minimum of 2 years of current painting or sealant experience.
- Experience in material handling and crane/hoist operations.
- The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work either independently or collaboratively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD – 81,003 CAD.
