Lead Cohere’s data platform as a Senior Data Platform Engineering Director, combining data modeling, governance, and operational excellence remotely. As head of the Data Foundation pillar, you will guide the platform supporting company analytics and customer-facing surfaces. You will establish standards, deliver cross-functional outcomes, and develop leadership across the team. Core technologies include BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Cloud Run, and Terraform. Key Responsibilities:
Own warehouse buildout, governance, and platform sequencing Maintain raw, core, and mart warehouse layers Serve governed data through Looker and export APIs Set analytics standards, testing patterns, and documentation Partner with Product, Security, Legal, and Business Insights Requirements:
10+ years in data engineering, infrastructure, or analytics platforms Hands-on ability to review Terraform, dbt, and Airflow Cloud warehouse and workflow orchestration production experience Roadmap ownership spanning teams and company strategy Comfort leading ambiguity and working with executives Shape Cohere’s governed analytics platform through data modeling, roadmap leadership, cross-functional delivery, and infrastructure expertise.
