Full Stack Engineer – Java Script / Node. js / Type Script / Vue. js

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer who can design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using modern Java Script/Type Script technologies.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack — from building responsive Vue. js front ends to architecting robust Node. js APIs — and can contribute to technical decisions in an agile, fast-paced environment.

• In this role, you will
• Design, develop, and maintain modern full stack web applications using Vue. js, Node. js, Java Script, and Type Script.
• Build scalable, reusable, and high-performing frontend components while ensuring responsive and accessible user experiences.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services using Node. js frameworks such as Express. js, Nest JS, or Fastify.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Improve application performance, security, reliability, and scalability while supporting CI/CD and automated testing practices.

• What You Need To Have To Be Considered
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using Vue. js, Node. js, and Type Script.
• Build reusable, performant, and well-tested UI components using Vue 3 (Composition API) / Vuex or Pinia for state management.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs / Graph QL services using Node. js (Express, Nest JS, or Fastify).
• Write clean, maintainable, and strongly-typed code using Type Script across both frontend and backend.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Integrate with third-party APIs, databases (SQL/No SQL), and cloud services.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or similar).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and deployment processes.
• These Will Help You Stand Out
• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack Java Script development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Vue. js (Vue 2 and/or Vue 3), including Vue Router and state management (Vuex/Pinia).
• Solid experience with Node. js and common frameworks (Express. js, Nest JS, Fastify).
• Strong command of Type Script — types, interfaces, generics, and type-safe API contracts.
• Proficiency in Java Script (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with Graph QL is a plus.
• Experience with relational (Postgre SQL/My SQL) and/or No SQL (Mongo DB) databases.
• Familiarity with build tools (Vite, Webpack) and package managers (npm/yarn/pnpm).
• Working knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of unit/integration testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Mocha, Cypress).
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops) and containerization (Docker).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an agile team.
• Salary And Other Compensation

The base salary for this position ranges between $74,250 – $117,500 per year.

Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
