Support resident comfort through routine repairs and minor maintenance as a Casual Maintenance Assistant with Cogir Senior Living. Deliver service with care.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role handles repairs and maintenance operations across facility systems and building areas. Work includes plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, carpentry, grounds care, inspections, and safety reporting. The position also supports housekeeping and other maintenance duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute routine repairs on facility equipment and building systems
- Paint, complete minor carpentry, and maintain exterior grounds
- Inspect premises for maintenance and safety concerns regularly
- File required inspection reports with the supervisor
- Follow facility policies, safety rules, and working practices
Requirements:
- Follow oral and written instructions in English
- Work independently and self regulate effectively
- Move heavy objects and perform necessary physical duties
- Carry out minor facility and equipment repairs
- Provide or obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
