Closer to Home Community Services is hiring Relief Staff for a Community Group Home and Residential Program. You will help maintain safety, support daily needs, and assist children and youth in building skills for community living. The position works closely with professionals, participates in supervision and meetings, and follows predetermined treatment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure children and youth's safety and daily needs
- Support acquisition of skills for safe community living
- Maintain routines and structured residential settings
- Facilitate school assistance and day to day activities
- Identify availability and cover requested shifts promptly
Requirements:
- Previous vulnerable children, youth, and family experience is an asset
- Related education preferred, with combined education and experience considered
- Ability to support challenging behaviours
- Ability to manage crises therapeutically and intervene physically when necessary
- Ability to work full-time in Canada without sponsorship
