About the Opportunity

Our client is a privately held, multi-entity organization with offices across North America and Asia-Pacific and several distinct business lines. The business has grown its top line steadily for decades. Leadership is now investing in finance as the next lever for profitability. The VP, Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting is a key part of that investment. You’ll build a modern FP&A function, much of it from scratch. You’ll own the consolidated global budget and forecast, management and board reporting, and the data foundation behind them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Forecasting
    • Own the consolidated annual budget across all entities, regions and business lines, and lead the upcoming budget cycle shortly after joining.
    • Move the business from a static annual budget to rolling, driver-based forecasts covering volume, margin and FX.
    • Build multi-entity, multi-currency models for scenarios, sensitivities and long-range planning, including shared-service allocations.
    • Turn corporate strategy into financial plans, entity-level targets and regional accountability.
  • Reporting & Performance Management
    • Deliver monthly management reporting for executive and business unit leaders, tied back to published financials.
    • Prepare board packages with a clear, forward-looking narrative.
    • Lead monthly and quarterly variance reviews, and define and own KPIs for the whole group.
    • Spot trends, risks and profit opportunities across markets and bring them to leadership.
  • Business Partnership & Decision Support
    • Partner with business unit leaders on budgets, forecasts and performance, with a focus on improving margins.
    • Lead forward-looking quarterly business reviews that lead to action.
    • Build business cases for pricing, investment and capital allocation, including multi-currency ROI and payback analysis.
  • Systems, Data & Team
    • Partner with IT to strengthen data infrastructure and BI capability across ERP.
    • Reconcile and validate data across sources to establish one trusted version of the numbers.
    • Drive adoption of FP&A tools that can handle multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.

What You Bring

  • 7–10 years of progressive FP&A or commercial finance experience, with recent senior leadership scope.
  • Experience leading consolidated budgeting and forecasting across multiple entities, business lines or countries.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills.
  • Strong accounting foundation and rigor, with reporting that always ties to the published P&L.
  • Executive presence and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to a CEO and board.
