About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading Canadian-headquartered pharmaceutical manufacturer with thousands of employees and products in more than 75 countries. They’re in Phase 2 of a large-scale revenue management system implementation across their Canadian and US operations. The platform covers contracts, pricing and rebates.

This Business Analyst / Project Manager will act for the business through to go-live. You’ll map current and future state processes, build SOPs, prepare teams for testing, and lead training and change management. The US team is already live on the platform. The Canadian business is where most of the change will happen. You’ll report to finance leadership and work closely with the IT and vendor implementation teams.

The work involves bringing siloed teams together and moving them off legacy ways of working. Teams are delivering this project on top of their day jobs. You’ll need to manage stakeholders with care and keep work moving under pressure. This role suits someone who leads with credibility and is happy to do the work themselves.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document current and future state processes at a high level, and define how each process will change
  • Compare the vendor’s out-of-the-box processes to the future state and document the gaps
  • Build SOPs for the business by tailoring the vendor’s standard templates
  • Coordinate business teams across Canada and the US to get ready for testing, using the test scripts, tools, videos and templates provided
  • Facilitate testing across multiple teams and locations, and support execution as needed
  • Plan and deliver end-user training across Finance, Commercial Finance (contracts, rebates, pricing) and IT
  • Lead change management and communications, with a focus on adoption in the Canadian business
  • Manage stakeholders across siloed groups and resolve tension and competing priorities
  • Act as the business lead with IT and the vendor implementation team through go-live and into hypercare (June)
  • Travel to US locations in Florida a few times during the engagement

What You Bring

  • Business Analyst or Project Manager experience on large-scale system implementations, working on the business side
  • Proven ability to deliver process maps, current and future state documentation, and SOPs
  • Hands-on experience coordinating user acceptance testing across multiple teams or locations
  • Strong change management, training and communication skills
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders, plus willingness to do hands-on, detailed work
  • Comfortable bringing siloed, stretched teams together around new ways of working
  • Able to travel to the US occasionally

Nice to Have

  • Revenue management experience, especially contracts, pricing, rebates or chargebacks
  • Model N or similar revenue management platform experience
  • Background in pharmaceutical, life sciences or medtech
  • Experience working across Canadian and US business units
