The City of Pitt Meadows is seeking a dedicated Trades 2 Mechanic to oversee the repair and maintenance of various mobile and stationary equipment. You will report to the Assistant Manager of Operations and perform mechanical overhauls, inspections, and preventative work on light and heavy machinery. Additionally, you may direct equipment operators and maintain accurate repair records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance on diverse equipment
- Perform commercial vehicle inspections and write detailed reports
- Direct and assist equipment operators in maintenance tasks
- Participate in winter operations and fleet maintenance
- Maintain vehicle and equipment repair logs and recommendations
Requirements:
- Grade twelve graduation and recognized apprenticeship completion
- Significant experience in heavy-duty and automotive repairs
- Motor Vehicle Inspectors Certificate with Air Endorsement
- Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's License with Air Endorsement
- Some supervisory experience preferred
