The Manager, Events oversees City-led and City-supported sporting events, concerts, festivals, conferences, and community celebrations. The position attracts new events, strengthens partnerships, and supports Summerside's growth as an Eastern Canada event destination. Three to five years of relevant experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and delivery of City-supported events
- Prepare hosting bids, proposals, and presentations
- Manage budgets, contracts, financial reporting, and revenue opportunities
- Coordinate departments, committees, contractors, and volunteers
- Monitor attendance, performance, and economic effect
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent relevant experience
- Three to five years of relevant event experience
- Experience coordinating events and managing budgets
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
- Flexible availability for occasional evenings and weekends
