Support employees and managers as a Human Resources Generalist with expertise in recruitment, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations. Work with the City of Saint John.
This permanent full-time Human Resources Generalist delivers broad programs, services, and initiatives across the organization. You will maintain records, apply policies, support compliance, and improve Human Resources processes. The position also provides backup coverage across the Human Resources team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidential employee records and documentation
- Administer benefits, compensation changes, and payroll support
- Coordinate onboarding, orientations, and employee transitions
- Advise managers and employees on policies and workplace concerns
- Support full-cycle recruitment and candidate communications
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum two years' Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience in a unionized workplace preferred
- Knowledge of employment standards, payroll, and benefits administration
- Strong communication, organization, discretion, and confidentiality
