Protect swimmers and teach aquatic skills as a casual Lifeguard and Instructor I with the City of Regina in Saskatchewan. Apply safety, rescue, and instructional expertise.
Working under an Aquatic Program or Training Specialist, you will support safe, healthy aquatic environments at City facilities. The work includes lifeguarding, Swim for Life instruction, first aid, pool-rule enforcement, and patron supervision. Assignments may move between facilities and include non-standard hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first aid and water rescues during emergencies
- Deliver lifeguarding and aquatic instructional duties
- Prepare lesson plans, attendance, evaluations, and progress records
- Enforce pool rules under applicable legislation and policies
- Supervise patrons and assist with facility cleaning
Requirements:
- Experience serving clients at aquatic facilities
- Minimum Grade 10 education, possibly in progress
- National Lifeguard Service Pool certification
- Swim for Life Instructor or specified transition certifications
- Current AED and approved First Aid CPR certifications
