Lead development engineering in Nanaimo through civil engineering expertise, proposal review, and independent judgment. This permanent full-time position reports to the Director, Planning & Development. The City of Nanaimo seeks a Manager, Development Engineering to direct its Development Engineering Section. The position oversees planning, organizing, direction, and control within Planning & Development. Complex issues and matters of major impact are referred to the Director. Key Responsibilities:
Plan Development Engineering Section activities and priorities Organize section work within Planning & Development Direct and control Development Engineering operations Review development proposals using independent judgment Refer complex issues to the Director Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline Minimum five years of related experience Proven management supervisory experience Eligibility for Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia membership Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence Apply civil engineering leadership, development proposal review, and sound judgment as Nanaimo’s Development Engineering Manager.
