The City of Hamilton seeks a Food Services Supervisor for an existing vacancy lasting up to 18 months. Reporting to the Director of Food Services, you will administer programs, supervise staff, maintain standards, and support nutritional care. The position requires food service production knowledge, leadership, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer food services programs and procedures at Macassa Lodge
- Supervise food production, staff assignments, equipment usage, and waste reduction
- Coordinate inventory, procurement, financial controls, schedules, and payroll
- Maintain health, food safety, quality, and corporate standards
- Complete nutrition reviews, InterRAI assessments, and quality improvement activities
Requirements:
- Three years supervisory experience in a long term care setting
- Food service or nutrition management education and experience
- CSNM membership or eligibility for CSNM designation
- Unionized environment experience and strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of FLTCA, health and safety legislation, and Microsoft Office
