Coordinate fleet repairs for the City of Hamilton using work orders, vendor contracts, and maintenance management systems. The position is based in Hamilton.
As a Vehicle Service Coordinator, you will coordinate scheduled and unscheduled work for Fleet Services clients and staff. The position involves heavy-duty vehicle troubleshooting, vendor communication, invoices, estimates, databases, and preventative maintenance scheduling. You will support fleet asset repairs, inspections, warranties, recalls, and administrative activities under the Superintendent, Fleet Services Garage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled fleet repairs with vendors
- Create work orders and schedule appropriate repair resources
- Review quotes, invoices, estimates, and contracted work
- Maintain databases, client notifications, and work schedules
- Monitor vendor quality, compliance, expenditures, and repair changes
Requirements:
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Certificate of Qualification
- Heavy-duty vehicle mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Work order maintenance management system experience
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
