Position Overview
Banking Technology is looking for an experienced Apps Dev Tech Lead Analyst with strong Java development expertise and a passion for exploring AI technologies. We are looking for an avid technologist who:
- Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems.
- Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact.
- Has developed communication and diplomacy skills required to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.
- Can have moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities.
- Has experience in demanding client-facing environments, such as a trading floor or client site.
What You Bring
Core Technical Skills (Required)
- Java Development Expertise: 9 - 10 years of hands-on application development experience with strong proficiency in:
- Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Java Spring Boot framework and related stack
- RESTful API design and implementation
- Microservices architecture and best practices
- Application L3 Support Experience: 6 – 8 years in application support role, with proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Database Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Oracle, MS SQL, and MongoDB
- Enterprise Application Support: Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications
- Frontend Technologies (Preferred): Good understanding of Angular 2+ and UI/UX design principles
AI & Emerging Technologies (Required/Preferred)

- AI Experience (Highly Preferred): Hands-on experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

- Using AI-driven anomaly detection for system monitoring and optimization

On a Typical Day, You Will
- Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications
- Write and maintain high-quality Java code for application enhancements, bug fixes, and new features
- Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
- Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production
- Perform post-release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation
AI Integration & Innovation
- Explore and integrate AI technologies into support workflows
- Leverage AI-powered monitoring tools and predictive analytics
- Develop and enhance support documentation and troubleshooting guides using generative AI
- Continuously monitor application performance and stability
Education
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
