Responsibilities:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement.
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex, enterprise-grade applications from design through production deployment.
• Deep proficiency in core Java, including collections, multithreading, memory management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and application deployment in high-availability environments.
• Proficiency in Java enterprise technologies including core J2EE and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), with experience building robust, scalable backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS, including SQL optimization, schema design, stored procedures, and performance tuning for large-scale transactional systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and enterprise design patterns, with demonstrated experience decomposing monolithic systems and implementing distributed, service-oriented solutions.
• Expert-level understanding of Java application performance — profiling, heap analysis, garbage collection tuning, and thread management.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise workflow technologies, including the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of workflow-driven processing systems.
• Proficiency in build and configuration management tools including Gradle and Maven.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting complementary to Java-based development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Experience in systems analysis, including feasibility assessments, technical planning, and translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of standard SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum processes.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities or requirements in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Strong logical reasoning and structured problem-solving skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
