The Software Technical Leader is a senior individual-contributor role at Cisco. You will set technical direction for Orbital endpoint software and deliver customer-facing changes across endpoint systems and cloud services. The work spans operating-system integration, release readiness, security, performance, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define architecture and technical direction for Orbital endpoint software
- Lead initiatives across platforms, installers, packaging, and upgrades
- Improve standards for testing, security, releases, and supportability
- Investigate complex endpoint compatibility and performance issues
- Mentor engineers and influence decisions without direct authority
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree plus twelve related years, or equivalent experience
- Production software development and delivery experience
- Technical leadership experience in Go or comparable systems languages
- Endpoint agent experience for Windows, macOS, or Linux preferred
- Production compatibility, reliability, or security issue experience preferred
