DF Barnes Industrial is seeking qualified Journeypersons and 3rd & 4th Year Registered Apprentices for a
scheduled industrial shutdown at the Long Harbour Processing Plant, Long Harbour, NL. Work is performed on-
site on 12-hour day/night rotations (one week on / one week off) during the outage.
Candidates must be local to and residing in the Long Harbour / Placentia Bay area. Travel and Living Out
Allowance (LOA) are not provided; local residency is required.
TRADES REQUIRED
- Pipefitters
- Millwrights
- Welders
- Instrumentation Technicians
- Coatings Technicians (Blaster/Painters)
- Scaffolders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyperson Red Seal Certification in the applicable trade is preferred.
- 3rd and 4th Year Registered Apprentices are encouraged and will be considered.
- Previous industrial maintenance or shutdown experience is an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety; ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts.
SCHEDULE
- Orientation/Mobilization Aug 18–20; Walkdowns Aug 24–27; Execution Sep 14 – Oct 16, 2026.
- One week on / one week off rotation; significant overtime available.
