Our Vancouver Buildings team is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to be actively involved in healthcare, post-secondary, municipal, infrastructure, and commercial developments across the region. This role offers a balance of technical design, project coordination, and field engagement, including site visits and construction support for projects throughout BC. You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Vancouver office.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for buildings including lighting, power distribution, communications, security, and fire alarm systems
• Prepare electrical designs, drawings, and models using Revit and AutoCAD
• Perform electrical design calculations and assist with equipment selection and system layouts
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines
• Conduct site visits and field investigations to review existing conditions and support construction activities
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams
• Support proposal preparation and contribute to project planning activities
• Continued professional development through participation in internal and external learning opportunities
• Assist in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of the local engineering team
• Directly engage with clients to understand project needs and maintain strong business relationships
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Vancouver Buildings practice

Profile

• Eligible for membership with EGBC– P.Eng. or P.L.Eng.
• Over 6 years' experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector
• Demonstrate a commitment to client service that is second to none
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to transportation for site reviews and inspections
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in the English language
• Experience mentoring junior technical staff is an asset
