This Educational Assistant provides educational support at Penhold Crossing Secondary School and Penhold Waskasoo Middle School. The work includes foundational intervention strategies, Knowledge and Employability curriculum supports, executive functioning strategies, and targeted assistance for neurodivergent high school students. Support is delivered under teacher direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small-group support for students in Grades 9–12
- Provide targeted interventions under teacher direction
- Interpret inventory results to identify lagging skills
- Implement effective, goal-oriented support strategies
- Assist with multi-tiered specialized learning support
Requirements:
- Understand foundational literacy intervention strategies
- Understand foundational numeracy intervention strategies
- Know Knowledge and Employability curriculum supports
- Know executive functioning strategies for neurodivergent students
- Educational Assistant certification and related experience preferred
